About WELCOA Training
As part of our mission, WELCOA is dedicated to providing a variety of training opportunities each year. Drawing from the latest science as well as best practices in the field, WELCOA offers dynamic and nationally recognized seminars, webinars, and certification opportunities that engage workplace wellness practitioners, business leaders, and health professionals all across the country.
Specifically, there are four ways to take advantage of WELCOA training opportunities.
If you are interested in learning more about the art and science of creating results-oriented workplace wellness programs, you'll want to consider taking part in our annual Webinar series. In 2013, we are offering a variety of sessions addressing such topics as health care reform, culture, and wellness strategies for the families of your employees. All sessions are free to WELCOA members. To learn more about the 2013 workplace wellness webinar series, simply visit this link.
Each year WELCOA provides a national certification opportunity through Well Workplace University. This four-part certification webinar helps participants to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to develop, deliver and evaluate a results-oriented worksite wellness program. Delivered in a dynamic and engaging format, Well Workplace University has been attended by hundreds of the best workplace health practitioners and business leaders in the country. This certification is available only to WELCOA members. To learn more about Well Workplace University and the accompanying certification, simply visit this link.
In addition to webinars and certifications, you can also take advantage of WELCOA training by securing an individual consultation for your organization or group. Generally, WELCOA consultations are done telephonically utilizing state-of-the-art teleconferencing capabilities. Working together, WELCOA experts will help you solve your worksite wellness problems from the comfort of your office so that you can avoid expensive fees for meeting space, travel, and hotels. Occasionally, if the need arises, WELCOA will consider a more formal onsite consultation process, but this is relatively rare as most issues and challenges can be solved without face-to-face contact. Another way to take advantage of WELCOA training expertise is by securing a speaker for your event or meeting. Over the course of the last ten years, WELCOA has provided dynamic and engaging speakers that have helped to make many events successful. WELCOA speakers have been featured from the podium by numerous national organizations including the Centers for Disease Prevention, the National Chamber of Commerce, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health and Human Services, US Department of Education, and numerous state and regional business and health coalitions, state health departments, wellness councils, and chambers of commerce.
